Welcome to our new look. For many months now, we’ve been planning to reformat the paper as a single section, and when the Reader was bought in July the project was put on the fast track.

There are many advantages to the changes we’ve made, but the one you may notice first is that we’re coming out a day earlier, with our listings starting on Thursday. Everything you’ve come to count on is still in place: columnists and features up front, followed by restaurants, followed by arts and entertainment listings (now kicked off by music), with classifieds bringing up the rear. We’ve made a few small changes: we’ve moved Deanna Isaacs’s arts-business column to the front of the book, we’ve given our adventurous food writer Mike Sula a weekly column, and we’ve placed our longer arts reviews with their respective listings sections.
